List of past photography workshops here
The main goal of these workshops is to teach what you need to know to effectively continue teaching yourself.
These workshops will emphasize getting it right "in camera" over post-processing.
We will use real prints rather than pixels to learn from.
The content of these workshops will emphasize the art of photography and story telling.
A portion of the profits from these workshops will be donated to Documentary Arts Asia

These photography workshops are several times cheaper then most others for a few reasons.
1) They are taught where I am on assignment, so i don't have to charge you for my transportation costs.
2) All the planning is done by me and I use no paid advertisements.
3) They are taught at free or reasonably priced venues.
4) My last name, Libre, means among many things "available". So i try to stay available to all who wish to learn.

A - No, 90% of photography is about where you stand, your timing, and what you exclude from the photo.
If your camera has options for adjusting shutter speed it is good enough.
A - You should get familiar with your camera & you should write down a list of questions.
Make a portfolio online, about 25 of your best photos, and send me the link.

A - You are welcome to join, mostly I use basic English and speak slowly. Plus the visuals help if you don't understand a word to still understand the point. If you still don't have confidence consider a private class where i can repeat or reword any point that wasn't clear. I can teach private classes in Japanese as well.
A - Yes, photography is photography. I teach few topics that are unique to digital photography.
I shot in film for 7 years and can "translate" any details into film terminology or techniques whenever necessary.
I generally don't cover much postprocessing whether, the chemical or digital darkroom.
A - Every workshop is unique. I look at your photos online and teach more of what you need. A list of possible topics is here. You can mail before the course and request topics that interest you.
Looking forward to meeting you
